The Government of India is issuing new radiation guidelines for mobile phones and antennas (see article in the Economic Times of India published on 19 November 2011). It will be mandatory for mobile phone emission levels to be displayed at retail outlets and on phones sold in India. Hands-free devices must also be sold with each mobile phone, along with a booklet mentioning safety precautions, as the government believes the use of these devices will significantly reduce the risk of exposure from electromagnetic fields. http://mieuxprevenir.blogspot.com/2011/11/new-mobile-phone-radiation-guidelines.html

In a country where it is estimated that there will be 1.159 billion cell phones by the year 2013, this could be the only solution to reduce the health risks of this technology.

According to another article published in India’s Business Line, nearly 75 per cent of the currently available mobile phone models on the market would have to be redesigned to meet these new radiation standards or would become obsolete.

Permitted radiation levels (SAR) in mobile phones will be lowered by 50 per cent to the same levels as allowed in the United States. This will raise costs per mobile phone from 5 to 30 per cent. In India, there are about 10 global brands and another 15 to 20 Indian brands. More than 4,000 importers trade in unbranded Chinese phones at a volume of 3 to 4 million per month. It is feared that the new radiation guidelines will have no impact on these mobile phones. The makers of Indian brands believe that market sales of Chinese brandes will expand radiply during the 6 to 9 months that will take for Indian companies to redesign mobile phones to meet these new standards.

Cell Phone Radiation Protection

Electro-Magnetic Frequency

12.01.2011

We don’t see them, we don’t hear them, but they are there all the same. Energy waves move through space and surround us. On reading this most people will say: so what? Who cares what energy waves do? But the fact is we should care. Emitted from all the electrical and electronic apparatus, like computers, lap-tops, and hand free phones that we take for granted Electro Magnetic Radiation (EMR) have become an invisible part of our environment. But the word radiation should give us a clue. These waves are unlikely to be good for our health in the long run. http://www.shorthealtharticles.net/health/are-cell-phones-the-miracle-that-may-become-a-nightmare

There is a great deal of scientific discussion on the effects of EMR on human beings. The history of radiation, from its discovery by Marie Curie, clearly shows the blessings and the curses of this material. Curie in fact got cancer from the radiation she worked with for years. At that time the dangers were unknown but in time they were discovered since their effect on the body is a long term affair. Nowadays, X-Ray technicians stand in glass cubicles and monitor the amount of radiation they have been exposed to, and most people are careful not to stand too close to microwaves when they are on. But at the same time that we have learned – the hard way – to take these safety measures, when it comes to mobile phone relay stations we take a different attitude. And potentially even more dangerous is the fact is that we actually put these instruments which “radiate” radiation next to our heads, often for long periods of time.

The trouble is no one wants to open up this Pandora’s Box. Cell phones are a basic component of modern life from both the individual and the corporate point of view. The trouble is that this financial and social investment makes objective research very difficult. As a result many people believe that the present data on this subject is not accurate. However, there are almost as many people that are claiming the scaremongers are merely paranoid, and the media, who have their own agenda, are happy to create a sensation over this from time to time.

In 2004, WHO (World Health Organization) brought out a report entitled: What are Electromagnetic Fields: Health Effects. According to this report telephone masts have no effect upon the well-being of human beings. Furthermore, this report was endorsed by the scientific advisory body of the European Parliament on the grounds that the manner in which the waves are emitted nowadays is far safer than it was in the past. In America the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) came to a similar conclusion. And since different scientists across the globe have all arrived at the same results in relation to the same phenomena, there would appear to be little to worry about. Unfortunately life is not so simple. All the bodies that have decided that cell phones and the relay stations are safe are affiliated with the authorities who have a vested financial and political interest in finding such a result.

These accusations may sound like they are the stuff that thrillers or TV movies are made of rather than real life. However, despite the melodramatic element these claims cannot be dismissed so easily. For all the research that claims cell phones are harmless and safety precautions are in place, there is just as much scientific data to prove this is not so. One of the most challenging questioners is Dr. George Carlo, who used to work for the cell phone companies, but who resigned when his research could not be published, because it did not give his employers – the cell phone companies – the results they wanted.

Dr. Carlo pointed out how the same level of skepticism once existed about smoking leading to lung cancer and it took many years to prove the point. In fact the parallel is very apt, since it was only with time that the long term results could no longer be confounded. He believes the same may turn out to be the case with cell phones, but the potential health problems would be on a far larger scale since 1.9 billion people globally use cell phones. Hence any health problems they create would be of pandemic proportions.

Australian National University conducted a research project on people who had been using cell phones for the past ten years. Their final report in 2009, showed a connection between brain cancer and prolonged usage of cell phones. These results are very disturbing and as the National Cancer Institute pointed out there are three major aspects that need to be reconsidered. The number of cell phone users, the length of time the phones are in use and the susceptibility of the tissues near the ear to absorb the waves that are emitted by the phones. According to The American Cancer Association, there is also a difference between different phones and hence which kind of phone or whether it is a hands free device, is important.

A major reason for these conflicting reports as to whether cell phones are dangerous or not is due to the fact that they have not been around long enough for the full impact to be revealed. At present the Australian research on people using them for ten years is the longest time that has been measured. Not does this research take into account the incremental increase in usage over the past three to four years. And since the long term effects cannot as yet be calculated, Dr. Carlo’s suggestion that we take certain precautions, such as, not allowing children under ten to use a cell phone, is sensible. The campaign conducted by Oprah Winfrey to try and get people to pledge that they will not talk on the phone while driving, even on a hands free set, is also sensible. And if everyone can agree on these two principles, it is a least a place to start until we have more long-term data.

Sage Associates recently published “An Assessment of the EPRI Technical Report An Investigation of Radiofrequency Fields Associated With the Itron Smart Meter – Richard Tell Associates, Inc., December, 2010 by Sage Associates, November 11, 2011″

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) commissioned a report by Richard Tell Associates Inc. that has assessed radiofrequency (RF) emissions from an Itron ‘smart meter’. The Itron meter is being installed in California by two electric utilities (SCE and SDG&E) and is similar to others being installed by other utilities. EPRI bases its report primarily on field measurements at the Itron meter test farms in southern California and South Carolina, two homes in Downey, CA, a drive-around street test in Downey, CA, and test results from two utilities. http://emfsafetynetwork.org/?p=6455

The EPRI report concludes that no violations of current FCC public safety limits are predicted to occur. However, our analysis shows that this conclusion is unsupported and in error, according to the FCC OET Bulletin 65 rules for predicting public exposures.

The EPRI report does not address compliance of multiple meters, at 100% duty cycle (which is required under FCC OET 65 formulas), and our calculations show violations at 60% reflection factor (the lowest level the FCC regulations specify). Multiple meters will also violate FCC OET 65 public safety limits for calculations using 50% to 100% duty cycle at 100% reflection factor, which are reasonable, worst-case assumptions.

The EPRI report provides a generic, best-case assessment of RF emissions since it focuses on ‘typical’ meters rather than a broad range of conditions of location, installation and operation of Itron meters under real-world conditions. It does not provide a reasonable, worst-case analysis, nor take into account the way in which utilities are actually locating meters in neighborhoods, nor address that the public cannot be excluded from very close proximity to meters on their own homes.

The author says that only approximations of RF exposures for ‘typical’ meters, in ‘common’ installations applying to ‘common’ exposures of individuals, are ‘likely’ to comply with FCC exposure limits. This report ignores meters that are being installed outside these highly limiting parameters, where duty cycles may be far higher, installations within or very close to occupied spaces of a home, and where there may be less shielding and more reflection of building materials that amplify exposures rather than reduce them. Tell discusses many problems with predicting RF emissions and the need for long-term statistical monitoring of matured (read fully deployed and operational) smart meter networks across regions. He says this testing cannot be done today.

Utilities are hoping for the best, and deploying at full speed, regardless of the clear ‘between-the-lines’ warnings, from their own highly regarded expert.

Deploying millions of wireless utility meters on such limited testing and questionable assertions of safety is unwise. Given that RF has recently been classified as a Possible Human Carcinogen, and this wireless utility meter initiative imposes the most extensive RF blanket yet created over every living resident that is electrified, ratepayers and the decision-makers will not know what irretrievable commitments of health and resources have been made until it is too late. Where even the best industry study cannot give more reliable and defensible evidence of compliance with FCC safety limits, public utility commissions should halt the rollout, pending demonstration that RF emissions meet FCC public safety limits under a reasonable worst-case assessment as determined by FCC OET 65 formulas. As a consequence, no positive assertion of safety can be made by the parties involved in this issue, nor are any solid answers provided by this EPRI report.

York Region Parents Want Wi-Fi Removed

A group of parents in a school district north of Toronto kept their children out of school Wednesday to protest the use of Wi-Fi in classrooms. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/story/2011/11/23/toronto-york-wifi.html

About 40 people, including a dozen kids from Grades 1 to 5, joined a picket line outside the York Region District School Board offices in Aurora, spokeswoman Christine Marrin said.

Parents are concerned that Wi-Fi could be exposing their children to radiation six hours a day, five days a week, for 40 weeks of the year, she said.

“There have been no studies on children to determine whether that level of exposure for that length of time is safe,” said Marrin. Earlier this year, the World Health Organization warned about a possible link between radiation from wireless devices such as cellphones and cancer.

Some believe wireless access to the Internet could pose similar risks. But while Health Canada cautioned parents to limit the use of cellphones by children, it said that based on scientific evidence, low-level exposure to Wi-Fi is not dangerous.

Marrin says it’s too early to make that determination.
“This is the first generation of children that has been in that particular learning environment, so how Health Canada can say that it’s safe is really quite a mystery to us,” she said.

The Ontario government said in June it would examine the WHO warning but wouldn’t take any immediate action to require warnings on wireless devices. The legislative buildings in Toronto will themselves soon have Wi-Fi.

Ontario Education Minister Laurel Broten says it’s up to school boards in the province to make decisions about whether to use Wi-Fi or not.
“The best available information clearly indicates at this point in time that it is safe,” said Broten.

“I am not a scientist but I can tell you it is important to us that our schools are safe and we believe that school boards each and every day make decisions to make sure that kids are safe in their schools.”
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath says she realizes many parents are concerned about the issue.

“It’s worth keeping an eye on,” she said.
Some Canadian private schools and at least one public school board in British Columbia have removed or strictly limited Wi-Fi due to safety concerns. But York Region and many other public school boards across Canada continue to use it.

“They are very firm in their position, they are standing behind Health Canada’s assertion that Wi-Fi is safe for children. Of course, we disagree,” said Marrin, adding the concerned parents have been asking for a face-to-face meeting with the York board.

EMC certification testing as part of 3C, is one of the test must be carried out before appear on the market. In the emc test, because the testing process takes a long time, record large volumes of data and the needs of equipment controlling and other reasons, the use of automatic test system can significantly reduce the manual auxiliary test workload.

In addition, with the testing standards of continuous improvement, emc testing by adding more types of products and testing requirements, this article discussed about the testing requirements of mobile wireless communications products. EMC testing can be broken down into four sub-tests, here only discuss the radiation emission test. This paper analyzes the demand for testing of information technology equipment and mobile phone products in the test were compared with the similarities and differences.

In addition to the need for traditional phone radiation emission tests, need to do their special radiation spurious emission test. Two tests have different concerns, including spurious emission test is to test the product outside of the operating frequency transmission power, different from the radiated emission test tests products in the distance the electric field strength. This focus is the design and implementation of radiated emissions testing system, in its development process, to consider the maintainability and scalability of the software, particularly in the measured parameters configuration and hardware control.

Mobile phones in the testing of this software, need to use a wireless test set simulation to establish a connection with the phone, during which returns the output power to detect the phone connection status, but also noted that the work mobile phone signal processing, to avoid high-power signals directly into the receiver equipment. The software designed in this paper support of the traditional information technology equipment and wireless communications test products, including both GSM and WCDMA wireless communication standard, GSM includes 850 MHz,900 MHz,1800 MHz,1900 MHz four bands.

11/28/2011

The digital age has left men’s nether parts in a squeeze, if you believe the latest science on semen, laptops and wireless connections.

In a report in the venerable medical journal Fertility and Sterility, Argentinian scientists describe how they got semen samples from 29 healthy men, placed a few drops under a laptop connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi and then hit download.

Four hours later, the semen was, eh, well-done.
A quarter of the sperm were no longer swimming around, for instance, compared to just 14 percent from semen samples stored at the same temperature away from the computer.
And nine percent of the sperm showed DNA damage, three-fold more than the comparison samples.

The culprit? Electromagnetic radiation generated during wireless communication, say Conrado Avendano of Nascentis Medicina Reproductiva in Cordoba and colleagues.

“Our data suggest that the use of a laptop computer wirelessly connected to the internet and positioned near the male reproductive organs may decrease human sperm quality,” they write in their report.
“At present we do not know whether this effect is induced by all laptop computers connected by Wi-Fi to the internet or what use conditions heighten this effect.”
A separate test with a laptop that was on, but not wirelessly connected, found negligible EM radiation from the machine alone.
The findings fuel concerns raised by a few other research teams.

Some have found that radiation from cell phones creates feeble sperm in the lab, for example. And last year urologists described how a man’s sitting with a laptop balanced on his knees can crank up the temperature of his scrotum to levels that aren’t good for sperm. (See Reuters Health story of November 8, 2010, at http://reut.rs/gHmXpC.)
So between the heat and the radiation from today’s electronic devices, testicles would seem to be hard-pressed.

But that is not at all clear, said Dr. Robert Oates, who has managed to father two kids despite having both a laptop and an iPad.
The president of the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology, Oates told Reuters Health he doesn’t believe laptops are a significant threat to male reproductive health.

“This is not real-life biology, this is a completely artificial setting,” he said about the new study. “It is scientifically interesting, but to me it doesn’t have any human biological relevance.”

He added that so far, no study has ever looked at whether laptop use has any influence on fertility or pregnancy outcomes.
“Suddenly all of this angst is created for real-life actual persons that doesn’t have to be,” said Oates, also of Boston Medical Center.
According to the American Urological Association, nearly one in six couples in the US have trouble conceiving a baby, and about half the time the man is at the root of the problem.
While the impact of modern technology is still murky, lifestyle does matter, researchers say.

Earlier this month, a report in Fertility and Sterility showed that men who eat a diet rich in fruit and grains and low in red meat, alcohol and coffee have a better shot at getting their partner pregnant during fertility treatment. (See Reuters Health story of November 18, 2011, at http://reut.rs/v9bobG.)
“You should be keeping yourself healthy,” including staying lean, eating healthy foods, exercising, not taking drugs and not smoking, agreed Oates.
And for those laptop worries, he mused, “I don’t know how many people use laptops on their laps anyway.”

[Abstract]
Breast cancer is one of the most common diseases among women, which will not only harm the health of women, but also hinder the development of social. Therefore, it has great significance to study and develop the related technology in theoretical and practical. Near-field microwave probe of the disease has getting great attention in medical imaging profession all over the world. Under the influence of microwave, normal breast tissue has much different with malignant tumors in the field of dielectric constant and conductivity. This feature is the physical basis of the detection of breast cancer tumors in the Near-field microwave.

The main contents of this paper are the following:
(1) Research on the technology of UWB (Ultra Wideband) and analyze the microwave imaging system.
(2) This paper used the three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software CST MICROWAVE STUDIO (referred to as the CST MWS, Chinese name ” CST Microwave Studio “) to structure modeling of breast tissue, through research on the electromagnetic properties of the breast tissue under different conditions, and the results show that it is feasible in theory to use the UWB microwave technology based on near field imaging method to detect early-stage breast cancer tumors. http://www.rescancer.com/pancreatic-cancer/9811.html

(3) Considering the actual situation of early breast cancer detection, this paper not only introduces several microwave testing imaging technology, but also discusses the finite element confocal imaging algorithm and presented the algorithm process; we discussed some existing problems of the microwave testing, and puts forward some solutions. The technology of UWB near-field microwave can provide mm-level and high resolution precision targeting to the detection of breast cancer, and provide a method of more safely and accurate to detect breast cancer patients at early stage, which is a detection technology with many advantages.

Electromagnetic Radiation

November 29, 2011 by: Connie Strasheim

(NaturalNews) Many people are aware that prolonged cell phone use has been associated with brain cancer, but most don’t realize how other sources of high-frequency electromagnetic radiation (EMR) also radically increase cancer risk.

Until recently, EMR has been given scant attention. It’s a toxin that can’t be seen or often felt; flawed telecommunication industry-sponsored studies have revealed that current EMR exposure levels are safe, so it has been mostly ignored in medicine. Furthermore, the US government, which receives massive tax revenue from telecom industries, has established faulty guidelines for EMR exposure. It has deemed safe levels to be thousands of times higher than what disinterested scientists have proven as safe. Indeed, studies from such scientists reveal that current amounts of EMR from telecom towers and antennas radically alter the body’s cellular communications’ processes, leading to cancer and other diseases. These scientists believe that the dramatic increase in cancer in recent years has been due in part to the growing prevalence of EMR in our environment. And the amount of radiation that we are exposed to doubles yearly. http://www.naturalnews.com/034268_cordless_phones_electromagnetic_radiation.html

New telecom towers are constructed every day. Average city-dwellers have anywhere between 30-100 microwave towers/antennas within a four-mile radius of their home. All of these towers emit high-frequency electromagnetic fields that have been linked to cancer development. For example, one Germany study reported that living within 1300 feet of two microwave towers over ten years triples cancer risk. Other studies in Australia, UK and Italy revealed significant increases in leukemia among people who live near such towers. Many other similar findings have been reported.

EMR outside the home isn’t the only type of high-frequency radiation we are exposed to. Wi-Fi routers, baby monitors, and cordless phones emit high-frequency radiation that has also been linked to cancer. When in use, cordless phones emit an amount of radiation similar to that of a cell phone. (One study revealed that thirty minutes of daily cell phone use, over ten years, increases the risk of brain cancer by 140%). Wi-Fi routers are similarly dangerous. G. Blackwell, PhD, Chartered Engineer and advisor to WiredChild, states, “Having a digital wireless device in your home, office, or school is like having a mini-base station (cell tower) indoors with you.” And with Wi-Max (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) now being implemented across the globe, entire regions will be blanketed in cancer-causing high-frequency electromagnetic radiation.

How to Avoid Dangerous EMR
While avoiding all EMR is impossible, the risk for radiation exposure can be decreased by taking the following measures:

1) Eliminating Wi-Fi in the home and using instead a hard-wired broadband connection.

2) Replacing cordless phones (which give off dangerous levels of radiation even when not in use, because their base is constantly looking for a signal), with a hard-wired phone.

3) Reducing/eliminating cell phone use. Using the speaker phone option on the phone slightly reduces EMR exposure. Blue tooth devices and headsets do not protect the brain from EMR, contrary to popular belief.

4) Draping a Faraday cage over the bed. This is a silver-lined mosquito net that filters out 99% of high-frequency EMR.

5) Considering purchasing scientifically-proven EMR protective devices for the home and body, such as EMR-protective clothing for the body and shielding paint for the home.

Doing these things can significantly reduce cancer risk from sources of high-frequency electromagnetic radiation.

7 Ways Your Cellphone Is Screwing With Your Body and Mind

Cell Phone Radiation, Cell Phone Radiation Protection

Lifebluetube Headset

Cell Phone Radiation Protection

Trifield Electromagnetic Field Meter

By:Andrew Martin November 22, 2011

There’s been a lot of hubbub in the news recently about the potential risks of cellular phones. Do they cause cancer? How much cancer are they going to cause? Will the cancer roll over from month to month?
Well, the cancer thing seems to have been overblown, but apparently the jury is still out on a whole host of much weirder effects your phone could (could) be having on you right now. For instance …

#7. It Might Be Killing Your Sperm
All cellphones, if you haven’t heard, emit electromagnetic radiation. The study of what this radiation does to the body is relatively new. So for instance, for a while people thought maybe holding a phone up to your head all day caused brain tumors, and that wasn’t dispelled until very recently, when somebody finally did a huge study that found that they don’t.
So when you see all of these headlines on the Internet about the negative health effects of cellphones, what we have are smaller studies that indicate some kind of weird effect (i.e., a phone can fry a man’s balls), and we’re all waiting for somebody to fund a larger, longer-term study to find out for sure (if cellphones are frying men’s balls). http://www.cracked.com/article_19538_7-ways-your-cellphone-screwing-with-your-body-mind.html
Which brings us to a couple of studies that indicate cellphones might be frying men’s balls.

It started a few years ago when researchers at the Cleveland Clinic found that men who used cellphones a lot (more than four hours a day) consistently had lower sperm quality. OK, that could be something other than the phones themselves — maybe low-sperm guys just like phones, where more virile dudes like to conduct all of their meetings face to face because there is a better chance of spontaneous sex.

So, they tested it. They gathered sperm from a few dozen men and, while keeping it all at the same temperature/conditions, put half of it in front of a cellphone and left the other half alone. On average, the doctors found an 85 percent increase in the amount of free radicals in the phone semen (if you don’t remember what free radicals are from chemistry class, just know that sperm don’t like them).
We know what you’re thinking: “I don’t put my phone up to my crotch except for when I’m having phone sex! Because I don’t know how phone sex works!” But the problem is headsets — when you are using a headset or earpiece, you tend to leave the phone in your pocket, or in your lap. If you’re a dude, that’s next to your nuts.

Again, that’s just one study, and they admit the conditions in the lab didn’t perfectly imitate those you find inside a human ball sack. Further study is needed, so they’re probably looking for irradiated scrotum subjects if you know anyone who wants to volunteer. Maybe you’ll turn into some kind of testicle-themed superhero!
#6. It Could Be Ruining Your Children
A huge study has shown that women who regularly expose their children to cellphone emissions, both while pregnant and after birth, are 50 percent more likely to have children with behavioral problems. And we’re talking about numbers that held up across a study of almost 100,000 mothers and nearly 30,000 children. That’s a hell of a lot to write off to coincidence.

Now, our readers are smart people, and we realize 80 percent of you have already asked your computer, “Could it be that phone users have bad kids because these horrible mothers are on their phones all the time instead of raising their goddamned children?” But their experiments tried to control for that; it didn’t matter how much or how little time the mother spent giving direct attention to the kid, or whether or not they were breast fed, or anything else. The only difference was phone usage.

The theory goes that cellphone emissions are causing an excess of melatonin (a hormone that regulates several bodily functions) in the mother. This can affect the mother’s metabolism and doodle with the development of the fetus’s brain.

Meanwhile, there are still scientists insisting that cellphone radiation can disrupt DNA strands, even though conventional wisdom has always been that microwave radiation can’t do that. They say they can show the results in mice and rabbits and that, you guessed it, further study is needed.
#5. Your Cellphone Is Destroying Your Senses
So as we alluded to, the problem is that science is trying to understand the long-term effects of a technology that hasn’t been around long term. The “every human has a phone pressed to their skull for six hours a day” era only started recently. There could be all sorts of effects that simply take longer to show up — maybe using a cellphone every day for 40 years gives you telekinesis. How would we know, until we finally had a large enough population that has been using them that long?

So it’s hard to immediately dismiss it when, for instance, somebody says your phone might be very slowly cooking your eyeballs.
Several years ago, a team in Israel did a study exposing cow eyes to the kind of heat and radiation given off by phones (cow eyes are similar to human eyes). They found that if you do it long enough, tiny bubbles start to form in the lens of the eye — a precursor to cataracts.

Then a year ago, researchers in India said the same thing, pointing out that the problem isn’t just that the radiation heats up your eyeball, but that your eye doesn’t have a good way to dissipate the heat into the rest of your body, since it’s kind of a self-contained orb up there. You’ve seen how easy it is to just pluck them out in horror movies.
Not that your hearing is getting off any easier; another study found that using your phone for 60 minutes a day over the course of four years can lead to inner ear damage, which leads to high-frequency hearing loss. What does that look like? It looks like not being able to make out consonant sounds like S, F, T and Z. The vowels are still understood, but unless you plan on taking up permanent residence in Hawaii, you’re going to need those consonants to communicate.

What would cause that? They’re not sure; the researchers who did that study guessed that maybe the radiation affects the inner ear somehow, while an audiologist says listening to anything that long can damage your hearing. You don’t think of a phone conversation as loud, but cramming a little speaker against your ear is harder on your hearing than having the same conversation in person. You know, the same reason ear doctors have been warning us about our iPod ear buds since the things were invented.

#4. Your Phone Is Encrusted With Germs
We have previously pointed out how everyday objects around your house become germ sponges, especially anything that comes in constant contact with your hands (let’s put it this way — you should take a break after you read this and wipe down your keyboard). And one of the germiest parts of your body is your mouth — this is why you freak out when a homeless man licks your face.

Now think about your phone. In addition to spending hours getting covered in your breath and tiny flecks of spit, ask yourself where your hand was before you answered it. Picking something from your teeth? Or nose? Handling some raw chicken? In other words, your phone is getting bombarded with germs every time it’s used. So, knowing that … how often do you disinfect your phone? Have you ever?

We don’t have to speculate about how filthy it is; let’s let Andy Felton, director of a microbial sterilization systems company in England, explain the research to you: “Based on these findings, holding your phone to your mouth is as dangerous as placing your face on a toilet bowl.”
And if you think that all you’re doing is giving your own germs back to yourself, think about the next time you see a doctor. Hospitals and clinics are sterile environments, right? There are cleaning stations everywhere, people put on gloves before handling sick patients. It’s just too bad that doctors are wiping their asses with their cellphones. Or, to put it more scientifically:
“A new study checked out the mobile phones of 200 doctors and nurses, and found that 95 percent of them were contaminated with bacteria, while 1 in 8 had the MRSA staph bug.”
The doctors, like you, don’t regard their phones as being filth magnets. They touch their phones, then they touch your junk. All of those safety measures and precautions are flung out the door when doctors smear their hands and faces with bacteria that includes superbugs like MRSA, which are resistant to one or more commonly used antibiotics.

Only 10 percent of the health care professionals involved in the study actually admitted to cleaning their phone on a routine basis, which really makes you wonder what the other 90 percent of them were doing during the lecture on germs in medical school.

Dr. Charles Gerba, a microbiologist at the University of Arizona, has come to the same funktastic conclusion. “We have found [the superbug] MRSA on several cellphones,” he said. “So we certainly find a lot of stuff on them — particularly the flip kind, since they have surfaces that do not dry out.” So not only are flip phone owning doctors behind on the technological curve, they’re also rubbing their face bacteria all over you.

#3. Texting Has Hacked Our Subconscious
This one is so bizarre that we had difficulty believing it. Then again …
Pretty much everyone under 30 is living in the text generation. At this point the average teenager sends more than a 100 damned texts a day. Last year, an astounding 6.1 trillion text messages were sent worldwide. Yes, we said trillion, with a “T.” Now think about the sheer repetition of the thumb motions a person makes while texting on a number pad phone — the average 16-year-old can probably send a text in her sleep.
So a study in Germany has found that dialing certain numbers into your phone triggers a subconscious reaction based on the word you would be spelling out if you were texting. A reaction strong enough to, as weird as this sounds, actually affect your mood.
In the experiment, the test subjects were given cellphones with the letters covered up, so that only the numbers were visible. They were then told to type in certain sequences of numbers and rate how pleasurable they found that typing experience.

And bizarrely, their emotional responses coincided with the word they would have been texting every time. Without seeing the letters themselves, people who typed in 5683 (which translates to the German word for “love” in text speak) rated that experience more pleasurable than typing in 26478 (which translates to “fear”). And the interesting part was that they didn’t have to dial the number multiple times for the concept to take hold.
To make sure it wasn’t just some weird coincidence, they tried it from another angle. They found the test subjects were able to accurately pick words off a computer screen that were subconsciously suggested by the numbers they just dialed. So, let’s say they were asked to dial 9834, and the corresponding German letters spell “zeitgeist.”
“Zeitgeist” would be the word the subjects picked off the board.
This obviously only applies to people who still use number pads for texting (or grew up doing it) and, as we said, it seems too weird to be real. But then you realize how many thousands and thousands of times a heavy texter hits the 2 key when they want to type “B” and how the two characters become permanently linked in their minds. So if it seems like the guy you just met dislikes you for no reason, take a moment to make sure your phone number doesn’t accidentally spell out “douche.”

#2. It’s Distracting You More Than You Think
Anybody who has nearly died at the hands of a driver talking on their cellphone (that is, all of you) knows that talking on the phone can make a person a little oblivious to their surroundings. But experiments show it’s worse than you think.

In one study, researchers at Western Washington University set out to prove just how drastic and ridiculous this effect could be. They arranged for a clown to unicycle up and down one of the streets on a busy college campus, all day, juggling and doing other clown-related activities.

Surveyors then asked pedestrians on the street if they had noticed anything unusual that day. About half noticed the clown. No matter what they were doing in terms of distraction — walking and talking with friends, or listening to their iPod, or just walking alone — it was about the same rate for all of them.
All but the cellphone users. Only 25 percent of the students talking on cellphones had noticed the clown at all.
Again, they weren’t asked to remember what color the clown’s wig was, or if he was wearing pants. Three in four didn’t register that he was there at all, as if having the phone pressed to their ear somehow rendered them blind.

Not only did the researchers find that talking on cellphones magically turned circus performers invisible, they also noticed the cell users had trouble walking in a manner acceptable for sentient beings. People talking on their phones moved more slowly, were more reckless with the traffic hurtling past them and were more prone to weaving and abrupt direction changes. Really, it’s amazing none of them ran into the clown.
Millions of years of evolution has shaped us into efficient walkers, yet two decades of talking on cellphones has turned us into aimless, bumbling idiots. Well, watch your backs, chatty pedestrians. Evolution sort of has a way of correcting these things.

#1. Your Cellphone Is Breaking Up Your Family
Thanks to cellphones, husbands and wives and boyfriends and girlfriends are never truly apart. At the office? At the store? Hanging out with the guys or girls? Your significant other is never more than 11 digits away. You would think that this constant, instant communication would strengthen relationships. You’d be wrong.
Recent studies show that the problem is mood spillover between your work and home life. Your cellphone ends up as a sort of rage transporter, allowing for the instant ruination of your loved one’s day.

Those different parts of our lives used to be more contained. Work was work and home was home. When the mister had a bad day, he came home, got his whiskey and coke and locked himself in the den. The day was over, the last thing he wanted to do was dwell on it. And when the family went on vacation, they were truly on vacation — there weren’t no damned phones on the beach in 1975. But now? Look around the restaurant the next time you’re eating. How many people are checking their email? That is, assuming you’re not one of them.

Sure, it might not be required that you reply to the boss’s emailed question instead of having sex with your partner. But if you don’t do it, you’ll be distracted the whole time. Before you know it, you’re carrying around the office in your pocket, everywhere you go. So now, when there is a disaster at work, that disaster shows up right there at your son’s birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese’s.

The survey showed that for women, the news was double bad. Not only were they inclined to use the cellphone to transfer work problems to home, but also the phone was the method of bringing home problems into the office. Problems with school or the baby sitter don’t wait for her to come home, they show up right there at her desk, distracting her for the rest of the day. And if you’ve ever worked with someone struggling with personal problems from a cubicle, you know it’s not pretty.

Not that we’d ever considering going back. In a survey, 20 percent said that losing their cellphone would be equally if not more stressful than breaking up with their partner. Another part of the survey showed that 40 percent of iPhone owners would forgo spending time with their significant other as long as they could keep their iPhone.
And a staggering 33 percent of people would rather give up sex than give up their cellphone.
Yeah, let that sink in. All these health problems the phones may or may not cause? They better find a way to fix it, because we’re damned well not going to give up our phones.

If the microwave produced in the cell phone exceeds over the national health customary for microwave, it will do harm to your health.
In order to cut back or keep away from the harm to the human health brought by the microwave radiation, it is best to do as follows:
First, select the telephone that has the community entry license, in addition to equipped with qualified electromagnetic safety set, which might block 80 percent of the microwave radiation.

Second, the cellphone shouldn’t be put around the waist, so as to stop the microwave radiation from doing hurt to the inner organs (resembling ovarian, liver and other organs).

Third, try to use the phone as a lot as doable, as a way to decrease the frequency of the attainable microwave radiation.
Fourth, children, pregnant ladies, girls within the period of menses should not use the mobile phone.

Fifth, the telephone users should eat the food that’s rich in excessive-high quality protein, lipid, Nutritional vitamins-B.
Sixth, you should keep the phone away from your head for about 5 seconds earlier than it is connected, since the radiation will improve markedly when it is not connected.

Seventh, you’d better not use the mobile phone for a very long time, if you have to use it for a long time, you’d better change the ear that’s close to the cellphone each other one or two minute.
The microwave is possibly among the finest inventions for busy people. Permitting us to cook food in a fraction of the time it would absorb an oven, the microwave has made cooking simple for thousands and thousands of people worldwide. Nonetheless, the quantity of radiation we’re uncovered to in our day to day lives has turn into a fear for a lot of people.

How Microwaves Work
Microwaves warmth food by sending out waves that cause the water molecules in a meals merchandise to vibrate rapidly. This creates an power that presents itself as warmth to cook dinner the food. Ideally, the waves are contained throughout the microwave as a result of the door is closed as it is turned on, releasing waves and cooking the food.
Issues come up when dwelling pores and skin tissue is exposed to these waves. This sort of radiation is barely present while the microwave is operating and if it has a leak. This leak is undetectable to the human eye, as microwaves are colorless and odourless.
Microwave Radiation Well being Considerations
The radiation from your microwave could cause potentially serious well being problems.
These problems embrace:
Pores and skin Cancer, Cataracts, Dizziness and Complications, Blood Problems, Momentary Sterility in Men
Specialists fear that children are extra inclined to possible injury attributable to microwave resonance. It’s because a child’s cells are still dividing quickly as they grow and any interference with that pure biological course of might trigger mobile mutation and presumably long run damage.

Sadly, the studies which were finished to find out the “secure” levels of exposures to microwave radiation examined subjects uncovered to a high degree of radiation for a comparatively short period of time. The effects of low-stage publicity over a number of many years is unknown.
The hazard is compounded when individuals are bombarded with radiation not solely from their microwave, however from cell telephones, wi-fi networks, radio towers and more. It is laborious to pinpoint precisely which know-how could possibly be inflicting the extent of environmental radiation to rise to an unsafe level. Without actually figuring out what that unsafe degree is because of an absence of strong analysis, one can only attempt to restrict their exposure.

Easy methods to Avoid Harmful Microwave Exposure?
Research performed by microwave repair servicemen signifies that over 50% of microwaves which are at the very least two years outdated leak round 10% larger radiation ranges than what’s beneficial by the FDA. The good news is that by doing a slight readjustment, the problem could be solved. Should you do have a microwave that more than two years outdated, have it serviced to see whether it is protected to use.

In 2004 my eleven 12 months previous daughter moved to a nice rural high school. The college had a great status and she or he was much looking ahead to a brand new life as a giant girl contemporary out of junior faculty and certainly she did love her time at Tarleton High College, Lancashire. Nevertheless fairly an odd phenomenon began to happen when every Wednesday afternoon she got here house from school complaining of severe complications, nausea and would often vomit. She would go to bed early on the Wednesday and never be fit for college on Thursday morning. It was a little bit like she had a hangover and surprisingly once more like a hangover, by lunchtime she would feel well and need to return to the college she now loved.

One Thursday while taking her into college at lunchtime, we stopped on the native printers. Noticing her Tarleton High School uniform and really pale complexion the printer enquired as to why she was going to highschool at lunchtime and what the matter was. When we explained the state of affairs he informed us that his opinion was that she was suffering from microwave radiation poisoning. You see on a Wednesday, she had double arithmetic and a free interval within the maths building. On high of the maths building just eight toes away from the kids’s heads had been the mobile phone masts that have been emitting cell phone radiation immediately into the little children.

I went to go to the headmaster and his board of governors at Tarleton Excessive Faculty and explained my concerns. The head himself was concerned also but found it very tough to extract himself from the contract the school had with the cell phone operators, though they did succeed and finally had them removed after four years of harassment from many parents concerned that their youngsters shouldn’t be a statistic within the cellular phone cancer debate. I moved Hannah to a different faculty and the strange bouts of sickness went away. She later returned to the varsity with out suffering any further symptoms. She was by now older and didn’t have the a number of periods within the constructing on which the cellular phone towers sat.
