The church I have been working with had a meeting with their neighbors regarding the proposed cell tower. Over 200 neighbors showed up. When asked to stand if you did not want the tower the entire room stood up except for the church’s reverend, cell tower study group and board members. About 30 people spoke including me. I was not planning to speak as I am not a neighbor, but I got the impression from the few neighbors that I had met that they wanted me to.
I focused on the big picture and spoke about how this debate should have ended back in the 1950s when Russia beamed microwaves at our embassy in Moscow after which the ambassador and some staff members developed leukemia. Instead we now have cases such as Bayville school in New York where three children have died from leukemia and many others are sick. Parents are blaming the illnesses on nearby antennas and have sued for their removal.
I was very impressed with the knowledge of the speakers. And so was a doctor who came to meeting. He spoke at the end and said he had not planned to speak. His wife made him come to the meeting and he considered himself an agnostic at the beginning of the meeting. He said his family had recently moved from San Francisco and that his father had died of leukemia and his son was in recovery.
He said that we are seeing clusters of cancers in families who have no history of cancer and that he was now convinced that RFR transmitters may be a factor. Who would want to risk their child getting leukemia?
