The use of cell phones are constantly expected to increase
the risk of brain cancer. For fear of risk, women in
Australia have started to make changes to the habits of
mobile phone use everyday.
The new study quoted by The (Sydney) Sunday Telegraph on
Wednesday (5/10/2011) reveals Australian women flocked to
his cell phone off because of worry about the use of cell
phones which can harm health.
The survey was conducted online by Australia’s Biggest
Health Check, involving more than 30,000 women .
As a result, found 1 in 4 Australian women have been cut
talk time when using a cell phone. While 21 percent of
respondents intend to cut back cell phone use in the future.
This study was performed 1 month after the World Health
Organization (WHO) warns that cell phone users can lead to
increased risk of brain tumors. Even though there is still
debate about whether mobile phone emissions are
carcinogenic.
Experts oncology (cancer) of the University of Sydney, Bruce
Armstrong said there was evidence to suggest there is a
relationship between emissions of cell phones with brain
tumors.
Armstrong urged women to try to limit the use of talking on
cell phones and text messaging as an alternative use which
are available in the menu or using a cellular telephone
landlines.
“The women are planning to reduce cell phone use to reduce
the risk of brain cancer because they are aware of the
risks, “said Armstrong.
The survey found women who restrict the use of cell phones
over the age of 15 years. Kesadaran restrictions on
telephone usage time made by the women has the objective to
improve the health and lifestyle.
Other lifestyle changes are also performed simultaneously to
improve health by reducing fast food, alcohol and caffeine ,
and to improve the sport or physical exercise.
